Exports grew by 18% to $19 billion 700 million.

It is estimated that by 2014, the average annual growth rate of textile and clothing exports in the United States will reach 15%, and the annual export volume will reach US $30 billion.

Glass said that in the future, American manufacturers will increase their trade with other American countries.

Business will also strengthen procurement efforts in the region.

At present, Latin America and Canada are the first choice for US manufacturers.

Glass said the US government is stepping up efforts to enhance the competitiveness of textile and garment manufacturers and strive to win greater market share in the international market.

On the other hand, recently, the US orders for Central America rose strongly. An american apparel company executive in Central America said, "American manufacturers and retailers have aimed at us. Our orders are raining at the moment. In order to ensure delivery on time, our textile factories are working at full capacity."

Glass believes that this is a big wave of purchasing market from Asia to the Americas.

With the rise of raw material prices and labor costs in Asia, especially in China, the purchasing cost advantages of American countries are becoming increasingly prominent.

More and more American companies take the Americas as their purchasing places.

At the same time, the region also has regional advantages, which facilitate the market entry of products, communication accessibility, free trade agreements and many other preferential policies, as well as quality and reliability.

Glass said that the trade fundamentals of the Americas were good and employment opportunities showed a growing trend.

It is understood that, in order to promote the steady development of the trade market between the United States and the Americas, the US Department of Commerce has organized and sponsored various forums. For example, the recent 90 summit of the Americas Summit Forum held in Las Vegas included a total of the companies from the United States, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, Peru and Columbia.

In addition, in order to enhance the purchasing power of large enterprises in the Americas, the USTR and IADB have also set up a new online procurement database for the CAFTA- DR countries to facilitate the service of all kinds of enterprises in the American textile and apparel supply chain.
