World Expo

The 184 day of World Expo, Shanghai, is destined to become one of the most important chapters in many people's lives, and volunteers are obviously the most visible ones.

"Cabbage", "blueberry", "lily" and "oranges" are the cute codes that people give them.

Among them are the elderly, white-collar workers and students. Although they have different identities, different backgrounds, and large age span, they all have a loud and common title -- "the Expo generation".

Statistically speaking, each of them may be just one of the hundreds of thousands of volunteers.

Even in the expedition ceremony, it was only a few seconds after the TV shot.

But for each "1", it has overcome all kinds of practical difficulties and devoted itself to Expo Service with 100% sincerity.

In the short decades of life, this may be a rare memory for each of them.

But it is because of so many "1" that we can have today's huge and moving spirit of volunteering.

And this spirit is believed to be inadvertently revealed in our lives after the Expo.

Because we used to serve the Expo, which was once one of the most moving.

The achievements of volunteers have made World Expo wonderful, but in our view, volunteers can not include the whole generation of the "Expo generation". Every builder, operator, reporter and visitor who participates in the World Expo absorbs the most advanced knowledge and ideas in World Expo, and extends their civilization and quality in World Expo's springing bamboo shoots.

Just as the United States and Japan have greatly improved their civilization quality after World Expo and the Olympic Games, China is looking forward to similar leaping.

In this sense, you and I may be an important member of the "Expo generation" and thus have a heavy historical significance.

Such a group of "Expo generation" who grow up in the World Expo and experience in the Expo will continue to spread everything they see in the park into the every twilight of the next era.

Such a civic responsibility and responsibility is the theme of "Better City, better life".

From today on, the newspaper set up a column "Expo generation", telling us the wonderful story of our city and World Expo.

This article introduces Lu Miaodi, a 65 year old Expo volunteer in Yangpu District. Through her story, it reflects Shanghai's grass-roots party organizations, Party members and community residents' selfless dedication and active participation. It is a great effort and effort to organize a successful, brilliant and memorable World Expo and to make the city operate in an orderly way.

Giving Full Effort Is Our Commitment To The Expo.

& ldquo; our family's first visit to Shanghai is a special trip to World Expo. From the train down, the hotel to the World Expo Park, all the way, thanks to the volunteers' guidance, help booking hotels, and introducing the pportation to the park, we enjoyed the smooth eating, traveling and playing in the park. The three day's journey left me the impression that it was very happy! & rdquo; and the Wong's trip from Shangrao, Jiangxi, was the most praise of the trip.
