Adidas's Net Profit Rose More Than Expected In The Two Quarter, And Greater China's Performance Increased By 14%.

In August 8th, Adidas announced its second quarter results. Sales rose by 4% to 5 billion 510 million euros (about $6 billion 153 million), lower than the 5 billion 540 million euro ($6 billion 200 million) that analysts generally expected, and net profit of 531 million euro (about 594 million dollars), up 34% from last year's growth, exceeding analysts' estimated 464 million 700 thousand euros (about 520 million dollars).

Adidas said the company's revenue growth came mainly from its two major brands, Adidas and Reebok (Reebok). Sales of football category did not reproduce the glory of last year's World Cup, sales fell sharply, and even lowered the double-digit growth of training category and basketball category sales.

In addition, Adidas's revenue growth in the Asia Pacific region was 8% during the period, of which sales in the Greater China region increased by 14%, achieving two digit growth in 21 consecutive quarters.
